The Gallatin Airport Authority (Authority) intends to file an application with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), to impose and use a Passenger Facility Charges for improvement projects at Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport (BZN), Belgrade, Montana. As required under Section 158.23 of Part 158 – Passenger Facility Charges, the Authority is hereby providing written notices to all known air carriers having a significant business interest in Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport. The Authority intends to file for PFC funding for Airport Improvement Projects (AIP) described below.

BOZEMAN, MT (January 8, 2020). Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport (BZN)
handled 1,573,860 passengers during 2019.
This is an increase of 231,570 passengers (17.3%) compared to 2018 and is
the tenth consecutive year of record-breaking passenger traffic. Annual passenger traffic has more than doubled
over the past 10 years and accounts for a third of all airline passengers traveling
to and from Montana.
During 2019, Allegiant added summer seasonal
non-stop service to Los Angeles (LAX).

Alaska Airlines to begin mainline A319/A320 service to Bozeman Yellowstone Int’l Airport beginning May 21, 2020
BOZEMAN,
MT (December 23, 2019). Alaska Airline’s
regional affiliate Horizon Air began service to Bozeman Yellowstone Int’l
Airport (BZN) with 19-passenger Swearingen Metro aircraft in 1990 with service
to Spokane and Billings. In 1994, Horizon Air began the airline’s first non-stop
service from Montana to Seattle/Tacoma (SEA) using 69-seat Fokker F28 aircraft with
seasonal service between BZN and SEA.
Delta to convert seasonal Atlanta service to year-round beginning May 23, 2020
BOZEMAN,
MT (December 16, 2019). Delta Air Lines
will convert seasonal service between Bozeman (BZN) and the airline’s largest hub
in Atlanta, GA (ATL) to year-round service beginning May 23, 2020
utilizing a 160-seat Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
